Queen Elizabeth II died last week at the age of 96.

In Hong Kong, some citizens have come to the British Consulate-General in Admiralty in recent days to lay flowers and write condolences.

The consulate said it would remain open this week for the public to fill out the condolence booklet, with queues currently standing at three hours.

Today (12th) is the last day of the long Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. A large number of citizens lined up outside the consulate to express their condolences in the hot weather. Longwei extended from the consulate to the Hong Kong Park, and then to the Tea Ware Museum.

Bouquets lay outside the consulate.

The consulate said on its social network that it will be open to the public for condolences from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Due to the current large number of people in line, the waiting time is 3 hours, and citizens who come here are urged to bring drinking water and wear appropriate clothing.
