A terrorist entered the Carmel settlement in the south of Mount Hebron and opened fire at the yeshiva there.

MDA medics and paramedics treated him and evacuated him to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva. At the same time, a report was received of gunshots in the seat. 

MDA paramedic Elad Pess said: "The wounded man, a young man of about 18, was fully conscious and suffered from gunshot wounds to his upper body, he talked to us and communicated with us.

We put him in an intensive care unit during medical treatment that included dressing and stopping bleeding and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was moderate and stable.

Our large forces are still in place and ready to provide medical treatment if necessary."

Mount Hebron spokeswoman: "Dear residents, at this moment an intrusion incident is taking place in Moshav Carmel, military forces are on the way. The head of the council and council officials are on their way to Carmel."
