Royal Family is frozen in the coffin, only Meghan and Harry are holding hands

Update from September 15, 10:11 am:

Procession brought the closest family together at the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022).

But only one couple touched each other for comfort, holding hands.

Ex-Royals Prince Harry (37) and Meghan Markle (41) are exempt from the protocol, which refrains from expressing emotions in public.

King Charles III (73) and King's wife Camilla (74) seem frozen.

His son Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (40), as well as the king's brother, Prince Edward (58) and his wife Countess Sophie von Wessex (57) have to deal with their grief alone.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can give each other comfort while the other royals have to follow protocol.

Wake for Queen Elizabeth II: Security guard collapses at the coffin in Westminster Hall

First report from September 15, 9:45 a.m.:

London – For a number of soldiers it was a long march that led the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday.

One security guard was no longer up to the strain or was overcome by grief.

The man was with the guard assigned to the dais to protect the Queen's coffin.

In the face of the monarch lying in state, the royal guard fainted and fell off the pedestal.

Surrounding guards reacted immediately and hastily helped the fallen man.

But at first the fall was a big shock for the people who were waiting nearby to say goodbye to the Queen.

Some clapped their hands in front of their faces and later reported the incident on social media.

One tweeted: "He must have been so overwhelmed by what happened." Get well soon and blessings were also widely shared.
