Never had two interventions by the Head of State been so close together;
never had a president benefited from such a double.
And, of course, no opposition leader will ever be offered two consecutive prime times in return.
In principle, this sequencing can be justified.
A first program around international issues, a second on domestic issues, this will avoid these long catch-all formats where, by dint of not wanting to forget any subject, we end up not remembering anything, and where long geostrategic developments are hidden with a short sentence that will maintain the political buzz.
But this two-shot media gun also says a lot about Emmanuel Macron's mode of presidency and mode of communication.
This beginning of the mandate gave a double impression, which turns out to be a double illusion.
