The musical evening, which was revived by the composer and guitarist Rawad Abdel Masih and his band on the stage of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Latakia, transported the audience and music lovers to different and distinct artistic spaces by mixing old and heritage songs with modern songs and presenting them in a new way.
The evening, which was organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in cooperation with the Directorate of Latakia Culture, mixed Eastern and Western stringed instruments in a rock and roll method, a type of modern music. In a statement to SANA reporter, Abdel Masih expressed the importance of his participation in this evening and his presence on the stage of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia, and his pride in the musical heritage, which allows the composer a space of freedom to express himself in a different language that is loved by music lovers and theater goers.
Guitar player and composer Rafi Fez, who has many musical works such as “When the Wolves Grow Old” and “Hawa Asfar” series, and others, expressed his happiness at his attendance for the second time in a concert during the year in Lattakia.
Simon Maraish, drummer, and Alaa El-Khashi, singer in the band, said that many theater-goers in Lattakia enjoy this kind of music that combines Eastern and Western music in the way of rock.
Heba Fahmeh, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Music, who participated in 6 lyrical pieces, explained the importance of music in the artist's life, which gives him a deep feeling and a beautiful soul to create and present the most beautiful of what he has.
The Director of Latakia Culture Majd Sarim referred to the periodic concerts that are held on the theaters of the cultural centers in the governorates, indicating the great support of the Ministry of Culture and the Directorate of Theaters and Music for these groups, which requires a great effort to revive these concerts and highlight the talents that launch the musical and artistic life into a spacious space.
