The Babnian Foundation for Development organized a poetry evening, in which the templates of the recited poems varied between the modern and traditional form of the poem, touching on the concerns of the nation and what it was exposed to, the sacrifices of the martyrs, the October victories, and the love and longing for the beloved.

The evening, which was held at the Foundation’s headquarters in the Hamidiya neighborhood, began with the poet Ibrahim Al-Hashem with a poem entitled “Fayrouz”, in which he celebrated the birthday of this great legend, while in his poem “Example” he addressed the love of the homeland and the sacrifices of the martyrs in defense of it.

Poet Hanan Rostom dealt with the homeland and feelings of longing and nostalgia for it with the poem “The Elegy of an Emigrant.” Through her sentimental poem “A New Reading,” she presented a new vision of the feelings of love, longing and the harmony of the souls of lovers.

In his poem “In Two Banyans,” the poet Ghassan Dalloul touched on this Roman human rights defender of Syrian origin, who gave the world the legislative laws that he has been working with so far.

Brigadier General Hassan Ahmed Kutoub sang about Tishreen's victories with his poem "The Sword of Tishreen", and the sacrifices of the martyrs, who wrote the most wonderful epics of victory in the poem "Fasl Al-Khattab", along with a piece narrated about Babnian to be known thanks to this jurist and some lyrical poems.

The poet Hana Yazbek shared three poems about what the mother suffers from as a result of the migration of her young sons, with the poem “O First Al-Nabd”, and another about what the homeland has been exposed to with the poem “Hoarseness of the Flute”.

In her statement to SANA reporter, Samia Kodmani, President of the Babnian Foundation for Development, pointed out the many social and cultural activities organized by the Foundation, including cultural evenings, volunteer days and development courses, in order to create a unique situation in which all segments of society interested in this type of activities gather.
