With twenty-seven abstract paintings, varied in content and idea, the plastic artist Aoun Al-Droubi opened his solo exhibition today at Ishtar Gallery for Fine Arts in Damascus.

The plastic artist Aoun Al-Droubi explained in a special statement to SANA that his exhibition, which came within the days of Syrian plastic art, executed his paintings in oil colors, indicating that he used the expressive abstract method in all his works, and adopted the human with his suffering and joy and all his cases as the main focus of it.

Al-Droubi indicated that he used hot and cold colors during his painting, despite their diversity between portraiture, landscapes, angles, and cities.

In turn, the plastic artist Issam Darwish pointed out that the Al-Droubi artist exhibition is part of the Fifth Season of the Fine Art Days event, which is an important indicator of the rising importance of plastic art in Syria.

And he indicated that the fifth season of Days of Fine Art included twelve exhibitions in private galleries in Damascus, Aleppo and Jableh, a promising number for the increase in interest in it and the expansion of its audience base and perhaps its return to light again.

Darwish summarized the difficulties facing plastic art at the present time by marketing the completed works despite the abundance of Syrian production, considering that Syria was and still is the birth of talent.

It is noteworthy that Aoun Al-Droubi is a plastic artist, born in the city of Homs in 1943, and the majority of his works have been dominated by man and his emotions.
