Artistic and musical paintings, photographs, personal blogs and realistic stories carried meanings and life lessons for a group of young people who chose art as their path in life, to announce the birth of the (Beyond Colors) project today in (Beit Al-Agha), one of the old houses of Homs.

The project, which opened today, is an extension of the Harmony Cultural Forum and its goal (building peace through art) by focusing on talents through drawing, sculpture, photography, blogging, theater and music, in an effort to empower and support young people by providing supportive and safe artistic and cultural youth spaces.

Kamel Awad, the project manager, indicated in a statement to Sana Al-Thaqafiah that the project is the result of a continuous general work of preparations and training, with the participation of 140 young men and women of different ages, academic disciplines and interests from the city of Homs and its countryside. Which is assigned to each participant to form 3 teams from each field to reach the last stage by presenting special offers for each team.

Awad pointed out that the participants were trained and supervised by academic specialists, and the trainings took place in the Jesuit Fathers' Monastery in Hamidiyah, and the camps were carried out in the Kafrun area.

In turn, Marina Kasouha, the executive director of the project, indicated that the project (Beyond Colors) expresses the various colors of Syrian society through art, pointing out that the opening today included an art exhibition that hosted 75 paintings, 17 photography paintings, 17 personal blogs and real testimonies bearing humanitarian lessons and messages calling With love and peace.

The opening also included the presentation of a short film prepared by the participants that told real stories that were part of their owners, written down by their fingers, photographed with their eyes and narrated by their voices. Musical and lyrical pieces were also played by 14 talented young people in playing and singing.

Archbishop Matta al-Khoury, Metropolitan of Homs, Hama and Tartous for the Syriac Orthodox, pointed out that the project constitutes a friendly space for talented youth to express their talents through art away from war and destruction, and is considered an extension of the Syrian cultural space rooted throughout history.

Dana Tulaimat, a participant in the blogosphere, indicated that the topic of blogs was inspired by testimonies and stories of childhood through meetings with participants during the camps.

Yvonne Satah participated in 4 oil paintings, symbolizing the child and family warmth, while Zina Qardoh participated in 5 photographs whose contents matched the blogs to form a true and realistic story calling for peace and human building within frames that documented moments of time with her sense.

The exhibition lasts for six days, accompanied by musical, theatrical and monologue performances.
