Kwok Kin-min, deputy chief ambulance officer of the Fire Services Department, pointed out that unlike general ambulances that can only carry a maximum of two patients, the carrying capacity of "dual-purpose vehicles" has increased, and the estimated efficiency has increased by two to three times.
He also pointed out that when the epidemic situation improves, the seats can be re-installed and turned into passenger vehicles.

Zhen Laiming, a welfare officer for the Central, Southwest and Islands District of the Social Welfare Department, said that as of the end of September, a total of 13,000 residents had been evacuated to quarantine centers or respite centers.
