Meanwhile, many travelers took advantage today (Thursday) of the pleasant weather that characterizes the holy month.

About 230 thousand travelers visited the nature reserves and national parks and enjoyed a trip to nature and heritage in a variety of activities and experiences.

Among the prominent sites were the Ein Gedi nature reserve with about 5,000 hikers, the Masada, Yarkon Tel Afek and Caesarea national parks with about 4,000 hikers in each of them, and the Banias and Tel Dan nature reserves with about 2,500 in each of them.

Also prominent were the national gardens of Hashur (Eshkol), Beit Govrin, Ashkelon, Tzipori, Apollonia, Gan HaSholsha (Haschanah) and Mashait
