The singer at the wedding sang about the groom's betrayal (@alexandra_starri)

A musician revealed that she was hired to sing at the wedding of her ex who cheated on her, without him knowing it, and she decided to surprise with a song that will reveal the whole story.

Alexandra Starr, a singer and songwriter from California, was shocked when she was invited to perform at her ex's wedding - to the girl he cheated on the year before.

The artist, who dated the unknown man for five years before finding out that he was cheating on her, said that she serves as a replacement singer, which means that she replaces quite a few artists who cannot perform at certain events.

When the lead singer of the band her ex invited to his wedding called her and asked her to replace her, she felt it was a sign and an opportunity to get her revenge.

Her ex-boyfriend was shocked when she started singing Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats, and threw water on him before she left the wedding in a dramatic moment that was filmed and shared on TikTok.

Alexandra hid her face for the first part of the wedding, but when the couple took the stage for their first dance together, she began to sing the country hit, the whole story of him getting revenge on a cheating ex, and then revealed her face.

The bride and groom were seen in the clip feeling uncomfortable at the moment of exposure, while their friends tried to get her to stop.

She uploaded the clip of the surprising moment last month, and it quickly went viral, garnering more than 9 million views within days and leaving people stunned.

In the clip, the couple, who has remained anonymous to this day, is seen dancing romantically while the guests watch them.

At first, Alexandra keeps her identity hidden as she has her back to the audience and sings John Legend's All of Me.

But then, she switched to Underwood's 2005 song, and turned her body so she could see her ex and his new wife.

"Now, he must be slow dancing with his blonde **** and they're having fun but he doesn't know... I scratched with my key in his new car. I carved my name on the leather seats. I put a hole in all the tires, maybe next time he'll think A second before he cheats," she sings.

The blonde bride is seen turning to her family and friends disappointed and confused, as her friends try to support her.

The groom looks shocked and doesn't know how to act.

A man who approached Alexandra tried to escort her off stage, before she grabbed his drink and threw it at the groom, completely drenching him, shoved him and left the room.

Before the events began, Alexandra spoke about her plan to surprise the couple with the song in another clip, explaining, "Look, I know I need to be the 'bigger person' and let it go, especially if my heart gets broken again, but I'm done being the good girl. We dated for five and a half years and lived together and he marries the other woman after one year."

And this is her song that explains what happened

Alexandra later wrote a song about the amazing moment, which she featured in another Tiktok clip.

"I almost gave up, but it was a shame and karma is a dog, so call it a sign, a gift from God or whatever," she wrote in the new song, "We were together for five strong years, he didn't waste time moving on, so I'm not sorry, it's a story Amazing. Here comes the bride, dressed in white, I turned around, our eyes met. I almost cried, this is the day that was supposed to be mine. I threw water in his face, but it should have been wine. But then I left, with everyone seeing. I wasn't paid, and if you Wondering, I was fired, but I would do it again."

She received an expected message that the groom had already cheated on his bride - with her

Alexandra's actions caused a debate online, some viewers were angry with her for ruining the couple's big day, while others defended her, saying it was a "once in a lifetime opportunity".

"That's so mean, his poor wife," wrote one, and another added, "Lack of class."

Others of course defended her.

"Everyone tells her to be the bigger person, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," defended another, "the stars marked her to do it."

Shania added: "It's a character and I love it."

Others noted that it was revenge for all those who failed to get revenge, "It's so dark, but on the other hand satisfying. It's my revenge too," another betrayed wrote.
