According to a ministry statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the total number of deaths from cholera was 43, distributed in Aleppo 36, Al-Hasakah 4, Deir Ezzor 2, and Damascus 1.

The ministry indicated that most of the deaths were caused by the delay in seeking early medical advice or by people suffering from chronic diseases.

The ministry called for the need to follow public health procedures, which are washing hands with soap and water frequently, drinking water from a safe source, and if it cannot be found, it can be boiled for two minutes and then kept in a clean and closed container, washing fruits and vegetables well, cooking food and keeping it at an appropriate temperature. Do not drink or eat anything of unknown source or suspect its safety, and seek early medical advice if infection is suspected.
