Officers from the New Territories South Task Force of the Transport Department conducted random alcohol breath tests at Tsuen Wan Road near Tsuen Tsing Interchange in the New Territories direction for two consecutive nights.
At about four in the morning, when a suspicious private car approached the roadblock, someone threw a suspected curling object from the driver's position. It was found by a private car driven by an off-duty police officer who followed, and the suspicious private car drove to the road. He was stopped by police at the roadblock.
Upon seeing this, the off-duty police officer revealed his identity and informed the on-site police officer of the situation just now. The on-site police officer then went to the location where the accident occurred and found a suspected curling object, and immediately conducted a drug driving test with the suspected private car driver. He once took methamphetamine and found a packaging bag in his car. Police dogs also arrived at the scene to assist in the search, but nothing else was found.
The arrested male driver, 39, reported that he was a shed worker.
