This is what the life of Adnan Khashoggi (Hollywood Khan) looked like

You must have come across the name of the Saudi tycoon, Adnan Khashoggi, in the past, and if not - a mesmerizing memoir by one of his wives is likely to tell you a lot about him, or at least about the marital aspect of his life.

Khashoggi was a businessman and arms dealer who became known for his involvement in the Iran-Contras affair, where he brokered the arms deal for hostages, and for being the richest man in the world in the 1980s.

The last detail may interest you more.

In 1988 he was arrested in Switzerland, accused of hiding money and after three months was extradited to the USA, where he was released on bail and ultimately acquitted. One of his wives, Jill David, revealed in an autobiographical book how she joined Khashoggi's family - long before she founded the international fashion brand For surfing clothes, "Roxy".

In the early 1980s, David was a young and innocent model who flew to a party with friends in Cannes and met a gentleman there, a 44-year-old father of five, short, bald and chubby.

Later that evening, she learned that her new acquaintance was the billionaire arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi - and she was going to become one of his ladies.

She agreed to it, wholeheartedly.

It all started when he watched her from the edge of the room and invited her to dance.

The two danced passionately and "suddenly he stopped, took a chair and threw it into the fire," David wrote in her book, "I also threw one there. We laughed and clung to each other like magnets, dancing in front of the flames. Dizzy and out of breath, I finally sat down. My new friend He looked into my eyes before he lifted my sleeves and used his fingertips to write 'I love you' on me in red. It took me a moment to realize it was blood. Accidentally or not, it was cut from glass."

On the night they spent together, she said that Shashoggi watched her take a bubble bath.

As they sat together on the bed dressed in robes, he told her: "We cannot kiss until I explain the situation to you. I want you to be one of my wives. According to Saudi law, I am allowed to have 11 play wives and 3 legal wives. I will not kiss you Until you agree to this contract."

David says: "I said yes and we signed with a kiss. At that moment, I became a member of the Adnan family,

The next day, David received an invitation to join a cruise on Khashoggi's yacht, the same yacht that later appeared in a James Bond movie and later found itself in the private property of a businessman named Donald Trump.

"During dinner on the yacht, I realized that I had never met such an intelligent and entertaining person as Adnan," she said, "True, he was very rich, but he was also peaceful. I slowly fell under his charms. In heels, I was 18-20 cm taller than him." M, something that can threaten a lot of men.

Not about Adnan."

In the following weeks, they spent a lot of time together, "we drank and ate together. He always allowed me to choose a luxurious outfit from his collection, but there were other women in the picture. Some of them were very young. You could assume they were high school students."

David said that she was not interested in his work and as the months passed, she began to feel less and less that she belonged.

"He was always surrounded by women," she said, "He was an extraordinary lover. I reveled in the feeling that I was his favorite woman. I fell in love with him quite quickly, even though he was 24 years older than me. He spoiled me with gifts, from diamonds to gold chains." .

This is her story

David, now a 57-year-old mother of 3, said that at the end of 1981 she realized that she could not continue to be one of them all.

She said: "He entered the room to give me a present. He saw my face and whispered: 'Oh, I entered the wrong room. Sorry, go back to sleep. Keep the present to yourself.' Before I could answer he was gone. My heart dropped. He thought I was a different girl ".

Over time, she began to worry about contracting HIV and wanted to regain her independence.

She admits that she was afraid to leave him because she thought she owed him for all the gifts he gave her.

Despite her fears, their relationship ended amicably in the summer of 1982 and 7 years later she founded her successful company, "Roxy".
