A snake was found yesterday (Monday) roaming around a kindergarten in the city of Rahat, and the place was closed for fear of more snakes being found there.
Parents of children attending the kindergarten expressed concern about the case and decided to shut down the kindergarten until the municipality investigates the case and tries to locate more reptiles.
"Since the beginning of the year there have been snakes in the kindergartens, and in the last case there were children in the kindergarten while the snake was walking around," said Tawfik Alhuzeil, chairman of the parents' committee at the kindergarten. "It scares the children, we think there are more snakes in the kindergarten, today we closed the place and were not ready to open Tomorrow we will be with the workers at the kindergarten to see what to do."

Last month, a 12-year-old girl was bitten by a viper in Moshav Gan HaDrom, and she needed medical treatment.
She was referred to Asuta Hospital in Ashdod, and in light of the symptoms she developed, she was transferred to the emergency room and given a serum against snake venom.
Later, the girl was transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit for further care and treatment.
