A white night at the Treasury:
Senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the Teachers' Union gathered this evening (Tuesday) to sign a salary agreement with the teachers, with the intention being to reach the signatures tonight.
The parties mainly discuss the latest legal wordings on how and when the agreed upon things will be reflected, such as when the teachers will receive the supplement, what salary and more.
The participants in the discussion: Minister of Finance Avigdor Lieberman, Minister of Education Yifat Shasha Biton, Chairman of the Teachers' Union Yaffe Ben David and Commissioner for Wages Kobi Bar Natan.

The agreements on the principles of the agreement were already reached a month and a half ago after feverish negotiations to prevent the shutdown of classes in the schools and kindergartens. However, the salary increases that were agreed upon have not yet entered the teachers' payslips. It should be noted that according to the agreement reached on the eve of the opening of the school year, the salary increases will be paid immediately , but the changes to the holiday schedule will only take effect in the next academic year.
We will emphasize that recently many voices of teachers and kindergarteners were heard who were disappointed that their salary did not increase even though they returned to teaching.
This is a crisis facing the teachers union and many of the teachers feared that all the promises would not come true.
Among the teachers there is still a lack of clarity regarding the various clauses of the agreement.
