Within the cultural and artistic activities of the second Syrian Book Fair, which is currently held at the Al-Assad National Library, a group of translated novels and publications were signed, in addition to the screening of the Syrian film Dark Clouds.

“Bloody Letters” signed a collection of short stories by young writer Hind Youssef Khader, which is located in 109 pages, issued by Dar Dilmun and is the first of her literary works, according to what she explained in a statement to Sana, indicating that it sheds light on the deep emotional pain of human feelings that a person cannot express. Directly, the collection consists of ten sentimental and emotional anecdotal messages.

While the writer Ismahan Al-Halawani signed the novel “Lawrence” published by Sein House, the novel is located on 342 pages, where she indicated that she relied on a new style of writing, in which she spoke about the importance of the role of women in facing the negatives in society, supporting the positives and paying attention to culture.

Among the publications of the Syrian General Book Organization, Dr. Basil Masalmeh signed the novel “A Passing Friend” by the South African writer Nadine Gordimer, and the novel “Vagabonds” by the Chinese writer Ein Li. The third book is Beauty and Transcendence, written by the American philosopher Patrick Colm Hogan, and deals with it according to the peace of the concept of beauty and how She evaluates it according to personal and public points of view, in addition to addressing international literary figures.

The movie “Dark Clouds” was shown on the library’s runway, produced by the General Film Organization. The film tells the story of a Syrian person who lived in exile, and decided to return to the country after his illness, and when he returns, he finds that his home and his memories have become of strangers, so he shares many details and stories with them.

The film, written by the artist Ayman Zeidan and Yasmine Abu Fakhr, is starring Wael Ramadan, Lina Hawarneh, Ramez Atallah, Lama Badour, Hazem Zeidan, Nour Ali, and Mohamed Hadaki, and the film's guest is Joud Saeed, and the child David Mohad Al-Raei, and each of Alaa Qassem and Mazen Abbas and others.
