The Russian Investigative Committee revealed that the cause of the crash of the military plane in the town of Yeisk in the southern Krasnodar region was a violation of flight rules or preparations for them.
The TASS news agency quoted the commission as saying today: "The Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee continues to investigate the case of the plane crash," noting that the violation of the rules of flights or their preparation caused the accident.
The commission noted that "the pilots who managed to eject themselves are being questioned as well as airport staff, as flight records have already been recovered from the crash site for examination."
Investigators took samples for fuel analysis at the airport of departure, as well as the necessary documents.
Thirteen people, including three children, were killed and 19 others injured in a Su-34 crash yesterday during a routine training tour in the city of Yeşk.
