The information arrives several days later.
On September 29, a Russian plane launched a missile near a British plane that was patrolling international airspace above the Black Sea, Ben Wallace, the British Defense Minister, revealed on Thursday.
He explained, before Parliament, that the machine targeted was a civilian type aircraft which was carrying out a routine patrol.
He then had an "interaction" with two Russian aircraft and one of them "dropped a missile near the RAF Rivet Joint beyond visual range".
A "dysfunction", according to Moscow
In front of Parliament - to which he reported on his trip to the United States - he assured that he had expressed his concern to his Russian counterpart, Sergei Shoigu.
Moscow replied that it was a technical malfunction.

Patrols over the Black Sea, interrupted after the incident, have resumed.
But, now, the devices are escorted by fighter planes, detailed Ben Wallace.
"Everything we do is considered proportionate given the conflict in the region and in accordance with international law," he said.
"This incident is a serious reminder of the importance of avoiding escalation and miscalculation while continuing to provide our support to Ukraine," Luke Pollard, Minister for the Armed Forces in the Shadow Cabinet.
