The Berglerner kindergarten unexpectedly quickly reaches its capacity limits.

The municipality now has to conjure up new childcare places out of a hat.

Berglern

– The municipality of Berglern must now ensure that kindergarten places are created as soon as possible.

At its meeting, the municipal council unanimously authorized the administration to search for a specialist planner and to commission him with the basic determination and preliminary planning.

The funds for this amounting to 20,000 euros had already been set in the budget.

However, no one expected that this would become necessary so quickly.

After all, not long ago, the municipality had commissioned and received a requirements plan.

After that, it initially looked like the community was in a good position.

Mayor Anton Scherer was also annoyed that this analysis became waste so quickly.

Seven children cannot be cared for at the moment.

Now that the registration numbers are available, this need has come out, said Scherer.

Stamping a new facility out of the ground is out of the question for the mayor and the administration.

“Then we need twice as many staff.” According to the mayor, it will only be possible to expand the existing facility.

The possibility of a forest kindergarten, which has been realized again and again, does not work in Berglern either.

The municipal council certainly understood that, but also worried because the municipality could build, but without the specialist staff they would not get very far, so the unanimous opinion.

As reported, the municipality also went looking for staff for the day-care centers via large construction fence banners.

So far there has been no success.

There are currently 125 childcare places in the municipality of Berglern, as Scherer reported when asked by Markus Geier.

With an expansion of the existing facility, one can fall back on existing infrastructures.

The first mayor did not want to say more at this stage.

It also became public at the meeting that, also in view of the lack of staff in the municipal council, external sponsorship of the municipal facility is being considered.

But Mayor Anton Scherer didn't want to know anything about it in an interview with our newspaper.

"That's not an issue at the moment."

The kindergarten in the community is not that old.

The Berglernern feel the same way as the Langenpreisingers, because the architect who planned the kindergarten has a say when it comes to structural extensions.

That comes from the copyright law.

So the municipality is not entirely free to make its own decisions.

Although Scherer warned against a "rush shot", the project still has to be pushed enormously: "It will be sporty until the next kindergarten year anyway."
