The race is divided into two categories: "Competition Category" and "Uyou Category". The route is the same as last year, starting from the public pier at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai and ending at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The "Open Group" has about 100 athletes and starts at 7:05 am; the "Youyou Group" is divided into about 350 people in each group, with a total of 1,400 people in four groups, starting from 7:45 to 9:45.
Due to the risk of virus transmission in large-scale events, participants must meet the relevant requirements for vaccine passes. All swimmers need to undergo nucleic acid testing 48 hours before the competition, and then complete the electronic health declaration form after obtaining a negative report.
On the day of the match, a quick test is also required, and the same negative result can be played.
