The terrorist is a 16-year-old Palestinian boy, a resident of Israel, who lives in the Dahiyat Islam neighborhood in the village of Anata near the Shoafat refugee camp.
During the attack, the terrorist attacked with a knife an ultra-Orthodox youth about 20 years old, stabbing him several times and seriously wounding him. The suspect fled the scene and after a chase was neutralized by gunfire.
Many police forces were called to the scene and carried out searches to locate the suspect and after a short time he was located, shot and seriously wounded.
The police stated that "the suspect stabbed a passerby with a knife and fled the scene. Large police forces under the command of the Jerusalem district commander, Superintendent Doron Turgeman, arrived at the scene in a short time, closed the scene of the incident and began searching for a suspect in the act."
