(Former) students showed their magical talents at a magic show in the Dom-Gymnasium.

Not only the headmaster was over the moon about the professionalism.

Freising

– The Dom-Gymnasium and its circle of friends promised an enchanting evening, and the 200 or so spectators got it: "Magic at the Cathedral" was the motto recently at the Freisinger Gymnasium.

The special feature: The magic show was provided by current and former students of the Freisinger Gymnasium.

Not only the audience, including many younger students, were enthusiastic about what Korbinian Schröfl (10c), Leon Gattermeyer, Quirin Schröfl and Quirin von Spreti (Q12) and Klaus Gremminger (Abitur class 1995) had put together.

"I was also relatively flattened by the high level of professionalism with which the show was designed," reported headmaster Manfred Röder.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Two highlights of the evening fascinate and still occupy him.

"During one number, a student climbed into a box in the auditorium and shortly afterwards reappeared on the first floor in the gallery.

That was absolutely amazing,” said Röder.

And he also has fond memories of the mind-reading experiments.

One person in the audience was asked to read a random page from a book and remember a word.

And magician Klaus Gremminger always knew which word that was.

Röder's summary: "It was almost alarming."

The constant involvement of the audience shaped the entertaining evening in the high school.

So Angelika and Max were brought on stage for a number.

Gremminger touched the two, who were blindfolded, alternately.

His guinea pigs, in turn, were supposed to tell him who they had sensed.

The trick: the very person who the magician hadn't dabbed on thought they had been touched.

By the way, it doesn't have to have been the last magical evening at the cathedral.

In the end, this premiere earned all-round enthusiasm, as Röder emphasized.

"A new edition can already be considered."
