Malaysian authorities managed to rescue 30 people who were trapped inside a cave in the northern province of Perak, after heavy rains fell today.
The Associated Press quoted police chief Muhammad Yusri Hassan Bisri as telling Malaysia's Otosan newspaper: "The water level rose near the exit of Timburung Cave in the Kambar district of Perak to about 1.5 meters due to heavy rain, which led to the trapping of members of a camera crew from the company. A Singaporean production was shooting a movie on location.”
He explained that 80 crew members were in the place, but most of them managed to escape, except for 30 people, and the authorities were informed of the incident, which sent a team to the place that was able to rescue all the trapped crew members and take them out of the area two hours after notifying the authorities without reporting any injuries. .
It is noteworthy that Tempurong Cave is an amazing network of rooms, more than three kilometers in length, and is the longest and largest limestone cave in Malaysia, which is a popular tourist attraction.
