5,656 new confirmed cases were imported, accounting for 390 cases
There were 5,656 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong today, and the number of confirmed cases dropped again, down 6.70% from yesterday.
Among them, 5,266 were local cases and the rest were imported cases.
Of the 390 new imported cases, 250 involved airport testing samples, 83 involved samples from the first to third days, and the remaining 47 involved samples from the fourth to seventh days, that is, nearly 64.10% of the imported cases were found at the airport.
As there were 9,622 passengers arriving from the airport yesterday, the confirmed diagnosis rate was 4.05%, slightly lower than yesterday's 4.39%.
The average number of confirmed cases in the seven days reached 406, and the average confirmed rate remained at 4.10%.
The Public Health Laboratory Services Department of the Department of Health received samples from October 19 to October 25 for verification testing of local cases, and Omicron variant virus strains BA.2.12.1 and BA.4/BA.5 (including suspected cases ) accounted for about 0.1% and 91.8% of the samples respectively.
