Frédéric Le Moal is a doctor in history and a teacher at the Saint-Cyr military school. Author of numerous remarkable works, he notably published “Victor-Emmanuel III. A king facing Mussolini” (Perrin, 2014), translated into Italian, “History of Fascism” (Perrin, 2018), Ernest-Lemonon Prize from the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, and “Pie XII. A pope for France. Investigation of the 1939 conclave” (Éditions du Cerf, 2019). His new book, “Les Hommes de Mussolini” (Perrin, 364 p., €24), appears on September 29.
