Is the presidential party trying to influence government policy?
Shaken by concerns about soaring prices, members of the Macron camp are wondering about the sharing of wealth.
The question occupied Thursday evening part of the discussions of the leaders of Renaissance (ex-La République en Marche), meeting in the executive office.
Two messages were sent to the government.
First, the desire to promote wage increases, via a
"great social conference"
involving unions and bosses.
The idea makes consensus: it takes up the principle of the
“big conference on the sharing of value”
defended Wednesday evening on France 2 by Emmanuel Macron.
The Head of State spoke of
"salary negotiations"
in companies, while rejecting a re-indexation of wages to inflation.

Some macronists, however, propose to go further.
The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, is rather campaigning for an
"employer's conference".
