The state elections in Bavaria are coming up next year.

CSU boss Söder warmed up at the party conference and shot in the direction of Berlin.

An answer was not long in coming.

Munich – In the autumn of next year it will be that time again: State elections will be held in Bavaria.

No wonder, then, that political debates are becoming more and more acute and parties are already fighting for the favor of voters in Bavaria.

The CSU, usually with its boss Markus Söder in the lead, is now targeting the big goal for the election: the clearest possible retention of power in the Free State.

Söder shoots at Lauterbach: "Can't hear the complaining anymore!"

At the party conference in Augsburg, which started on Friday, October 28, Söder, unsurprisingly, did not mince his words - and shot violently against the Berlin traffic light.

The topic of cannabis legalization, which is currently being hotly debated again, was brought up again.

Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach was not long in coming with a written reply via Twitter.

Söder at the party conference: "To warn about Corona is unbelievable and to allow smoking!"

"I can no longer hear Mr. Lauterbach's constant nagging and his warnings," said Söder during his speech at the party conference in Augsburg.

The CSU boss affirmed that it was right to let the Wiesn take place.

The corona numbers have gone up, but Bavaria is currently back in twelfth place in the nationwide “ranking” in terms of infection rates.

Söder then addresses Lauterbach directly: “It is incredible to warn about Corona and to allow smoking pot!” said Söder.

The reaction of the Federal Minister of Health was not long in coming.

On Friday evening at 8:20 p.m., Lauterbach wrote: “Why?

It makes sense to prevent corona deaths and drug deaths.

Simply letting things run their course, such as at the Oktoberfest in Bavaria, where infected people drink themselves into a coma, does not solve a problem.” What the CSU boss has to say about this counterattack is not clear.

However, it can be assumed that it was not Söder's last poison arrow in the direction of the Berlin traffic light.

After all, the election campaign for power in the Bavarian state parliament and the CSU party congress has only just begun.
