But now the successor to Queen Elizabeth II is making a U-turn.
London – Even in the days of Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022), Prince Charles had always said that he wanted to streamline the monarchy in order to start the succession to the throne in a contemporary and modern way with a breath of fresh air.

As

reports, he wants to scrap his plans for a 180-degree turnaround of a "detox" monarchy and leave the number of working royals at eleven.
When the royals "slimmed" themselves, a new plan was needed
Charles wanted to ensure the continued existence of the monarchy.
Even before the death of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip (99, † 2021), it was said that the monarchy should be streamlined.
In addition to the former monarch and her husband, the seven members should also include King Charles III, his wife Camilla (75), Prince William (40), his wife Kate (40) and Prince Harry (38).
