The residents have something to wait for: approval in principle for the promotion of a massive evacuation-construction project in the Yonatan complex in the city • "It will become a model neighborhood for the entire region"

Good news for the residents of Kfar Saba: the local committee for planning and construction in the Kfar Saba municipality has given approval in principle for the promotion of an evacuation-construction project in the city.

The project, worth more than NIS 1.2 billion, will be built in the Yonatan complex in the north of the city center, and the person who will build it is the company "Ashley Liran", owned by Asher Alon and Roni Barik, which specializes in urban renewal projects.

As part of the project, six four- to nine-story buildings containing 114 old apartments will be vacated, and in their place will be built four buildings containing about 330 new apartments and another 30 apartments for long-term rent, which will rise to a height of 13-18 floors.

The owners of the existing apartments will receive larger and more upgraded apartments: for example, the exchange apartments will increase by about 22 square meters alongside a balcony of about 12 square meters, parking and storage.

These days, the tenants' signatures on the eviction-construction agreements are in progress.

Waiting for young residents

Shaoli Alon, VP of Ashley Liran, says: "We operate in Gush Dan and Sharon in a wide variety of urban renewal projects, with more than 2,500 housing units in initiation, execution and marketing.

Happily, the project is progressing quickly compared to other similar projects, and we hope to continue this trend to the satisfaction of the tenants.

"In planning the project, we place special emphasis on preserving the existing model trees in the compound, and on changing the land from residential use to open areas, such as parks and public gardens, for the well-being of the residents. We intend to turn it into a model neighborhood in Kfar Saba."

The Yonatan complex will be located in the North City Center neighborhood in Kfar Saba.

Today, mostly elderly families live in the old neighborhood.

The concentration of the elderly population in it is ten times higher than in other neighborhoods in the city, and therefore it longs for a young and fresh population.

In recent years, the area has been undergoing many urban renewal processes.

The neighborhood borders the central Weizman Street, and within its boundaries are the central station and commercial and employment areas.
