The customers had been waiting for it: the frequency in the shops, which were allowed to reopen on Monday, was brisk.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – Both customers, owners and sellers had longed for the day.

On Monday the time had come and most of the shops were allowed to reopen after the long Corona break.

The Tölzer Kurier asked shops how the first day went.

Cornelia Seck, "Canvero Accessoires", Bad Tölz: "It feels good to have the shop open again.

I am full of energy and enthusiasm.

I redecorated the last few days because I still had the winter goods in the shop when it closed.

Today there was a big rush shortly after opening, because I have multifunctional towels on offer that you can use wonderfully as a mask.

I guarantee the safety of my customers with distance lines on the floor and disinfectant spray that everyone can use.

We'll get used to talking to customers with masks.

Time will tell how it goes from now on, although I fear that people are more likely to hold on to the money for now.”

Hubert Schöffmann, Urban Bookstore, Bad Tölz: "I'm really happy that we're open again and that things are back to normal.

In the past few weeks I have been mainly busy processing and delivering online orders.

The first day there were more customers than I thought.

Of course, I had to redesign the store a bit: I moved the cash register so that customers could walk through the store on a one-way street.

And if you need one, you can get a disposable mask in addition to hand disinfection if you don't have one.

The fact that you only see the eyes now is of course unusual, but the eyes say a lot.

Overall, I can't complain about the past few weeks.

I got through the time well and came back from some delivery trips with more gifts than I had books with me.

Barbara and Maximilian Hauser, "Männermode Hauser", Bad Tölz: "It's a relief to feel like you're back in the store.

The past few weeks have been difficult for us, and so we are all the happier to be able to serve customers again.

Of course we prepared our shop and put up windows in front of the cash register.

In addition, everyone can use the disinfectant here and the distance rules are observed.

If you don't have a mask, you'll get one from us.

Today's customer numbers surprised us a bit, there were more than expected.

But what was lost in the end cannot be made up for.”

"Customers accept social distancing"

Marianne Öttl, employee "Intersport Peter", Bad Tölz: "It's such a nice feeling that something normal is finally returning.

We have some distance rules in store, for example a one-way street.

We also point this out to customers with notes.

But I have the feeling that they accept that well.

If you don't have a mask, you will get one from us, and of course you can also disinfect your hands.

The rush today was quite good, with our customers looking specifically for what they have not been able to get so easily in the past few weeks.

For the moment we have slightly reduced the opening hours, but we will adjust this if necessary.”

Bettina Krinner, "Foto Bettina Krinner", Lenggries: "I am very happy that I can have my photo shop open again, because I do my job with body and soul.

I'm not getting the sales that I've lost in the past few weeks, especially since it's still uncertain when, for example, weddings will take place again.

Due to the existing room structure with two entrances, I can pay attention to the distance rules.

Otherwise I have taken all precautions.

However, business has started a little quietly today, as customers are very cautious.

Many call ahead and ask what is possible.

Conversation with a mask is a bit distanced.

You have to speak louder, and when you take a picture, the viewfinder starts up.

But now I just pay more attention to the eyes, which can smile wonderfully.”

Monika Probst, “Probst Household Goods”, Lenggries: “Opening up the business again is very nice.

We pay great attention to compliance with the hygiene and distance regulations, for example with a separate entrance and exit and signs.

We let eight people in the store and those who don't wear a mask are immediately sent out again.

But most customers stick to the guidelines.

Unfortunately, you don't recognize every customer immediately through the masks, but we will get used to that too.

The number of customers today was as I expected it to be: very busy.

And many customers are happy that we can be there for them again.
