Cyclist hits "full force on asphalt" and dies - she was not wearing a helmet

A 44-year-old cyclist fell on a curb in Füssen and landed on the street.
Any rescue came too late for the woman.

It's one of those accidents that could have been prevented.
A 44-year-old woman from Hopfen (Ostallgäu district) rode her bike on Monday evening (October 31) on the sidewalk along the Uferstraße in the direction of Hopferau in Füssen.
According to the police, she steered her bike onto the street to avoid two pedestrians.
She overtook the vacationer couple and wanted to get back on the sidewalk about 20 meters further.
She fell on the curb.

According to the police, "it hit the asphalt with full force." She was not wearing a helmet and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
The two pedestrians immediately rushed to help the woman and notified other first responders from the holiday farm and the rescue control center.
Moments later, two paramedics, two ambulances and a helicopter arrived at the scene, police said.
The Hopfen fire brigade also deployed two vehicles to better illuminate the scene of the accident.
"After more than 30 minutes of unsuccessful resuscitation, the doctors could only determine the woman's death." According to the current state of investigation, there is no third-party fault.
According to testimonies, the cyclist was not only without a helmet, but also at high speed and without lights.
The police were on site with a total of three strips of feet and pfronts.
A 35-year-old woman died in an accident in Upper Bavaria on Monday evening – she came off the road and crashed into a tree.
