Al-Baath University Troupe presented a theatrical performance entitled “Fairuziat”, written and directed by Hussein Nasser, on the stage of the Culture Palace in Homs, as part of the 27th University Theater Festival.
The 15 young men and women actors and musicians of the show presented five stories that separate the story from the other, a song by the artist Fairuz, performed by the singer “Hala Trad.” The stories reflected the lived reality and its humanitarian and social repercussions on young people.
The director of the work confirmed to SANA reporter that he presented a dramatic game, linking its stories to Fairuz, which has a great impact and influence in our lives. The songs expressed every story presented by the actors, pointing to the great and important role played by the university festival to present new energies and promising youth talents that herald that theater is still Fine.
Lama Shehadeh indicated that the festival constitutes an opportunity for her to stand on the stage, considering that watching the performances of other teams increases her experience, imagination and capabilities.
Actor Tariq Jabbour said: This is my second participation on the stage, which increases my confidence in myself, especially since theater is a dream, desire and passion of many young people, and today the opportunity is available to everyone to participate in the making of culture and art, even if a little.
The singer Trad found that the state of harmony that was born between singing and drama on the stage creates a beautiful state of interaction between the stage and the audience, noting that the tales linked them to Fairuz, who sang for love, separation, death and happiness.
Hashem Ghazal, director of the festival, confirmed that young people today are returning brilliance to the university theater, as they have proven their high readiness through theatrical performances presented from all governorates, which restored the spirit to the university theater, and achieved the goals of the National Union of Syrian Students, which has never been stingy in embracing and nurturing youth and talents. .
