Gustavo Petro arrives in Venezuela for an unprecedented meeting with Nicolás Maduro

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, arrived in Caracas on Monday to meet with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro.

The meeting is part of efforts to restore bilateral relations between the two countries.

Trade integration, peace talks with the ELN and the possible re-entry of Venezuela to the Inter-American Human Rights System are some of the key issues of the meeting.
