According to the testimony of some neighbors, taken by the police, the man, aged around fifty, came out of his house shouting that he had killed his wife, "in socks and with bloody hands" according to CNews.
Two children reportedly witnessed the fatal attack
Neighbors immediately called the fire brigade, who discovered a woman with several stab wounds lying in the apartment.
The firefighters brought first aid to the victim before taking the victim to the emergency room at the Georges-Pompidou hospital.
"But she did not survive, she died while being transported to hospital," said a source close to the investigation.
When the police intervened, the man had left the scene.
