In a message published by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on the social network, it was stated that "reliable and extensive information" was received about an intention to damage synagogues in the state of New Jersey

The Federal Bureau of Investigation tweeted today (Thursday) a tweet warning that the Jewish community in New Jersey is in danger.

In a tweet published from the account of the organization in the city of Newark in the country, it is written: "We have received reliable information about a widespread threat to synagogues in New Jersey."

The tweet did not say if there is more concrete information that indicates an intended time and who the potential threat is, but it was said that "at this stage we ask that you take all the steps to be extra careful in order to protect your community and the [synagogue] facility. We will share more when we can, stay tuned Be alert and call the police in an emergency."

Also, the detective agency began to take "proactive steps" as part of the investigation, and most likely this means steps to hunt down the suspects.

These days the Jewish community marks four years since the massacre at the synagogue in Pittsburgh, where 11 Jews were murdered during Shabbat prayers.

Also, this is currently a particularly sensitive period in American politics, ahead of the mid-term elections and a host of jobs at the state, district and municipal level.
