A massive fire in a chemical plant in the US state of Georgia led to a massive evacuation of residents of nearby homes, and a firefighter sustained various injuries.
The Associated Press quoted a US state emergency source as saying: Several explosions resounded at a chemical plant outside the coastal city of Brunswick, state, followed by a huge fire, prompting the authorities to evacuate more than 100 homes adjacent to the plant.
The source added: The civil defense crews rushed to the factory and started the process of putting out the fire, but controlling the fire was very difficult due to the nature of the burning chemicals, which caused the injury of one of the civil defense men.
