On Tuesday (November 8th) there were 120 million euros in the Eurojackpot.

Now it's clear: the profit goes to Berlin.

Update from November 8th, 9:16 p.m .:

A lottery player or a lottery player or a syndicate from Berlin has cracked the Eurojackpot filled with 120 million euros.

This was announced by Westlotto on Tuesday after the draw in Helsinki.

After 16 draws without a main prize, a player was correct for the first time and cashed in the record prize.

With the winning numbers 15 - 17 - 23 - 35 - 38 and the two euro numbers 4 and 9, the player guessed to win.

A total of 17 other tipsters or syndicates were able to look forward to winnings in the millions in the second prize category.

Of these, 14 winners come from Germany.

The sum of 1,209,751.50 euros went four times to Baden-Württemberg, three times to Bavaria, three times to Berlin, twice to Hesse and one each to North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.

There was also a winner each in Denmark, Hungary and Poland.

With five right numbers and two Euro numbers, this question could become a reality for a Eurojackpot winner on Tuesday evening.

From 8 p.m., the eyes of the participants will be directed towards the Finnish capital Helsinki - then today's Eurojackpot winning numbers will be drawn there.

A new German lottery record win was already possible in the last two draws.

However, the Eurojackpot was not cracked.

Nevertheless, last Friday (November 4th), five players managed to guess five winning numbers and one euro number correctly: 4,865,344 euros were transferred to North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Schleswig-Holstein and Poland.

After 16 game rounds without winnings in the highest class, the Eurojackpot has grown to a maximum of 120 million euros.

Since the jackpot is capped at this sum and may not be exceeded, the excess stakes for prize category 1 migrate to prize category 2. There, a second jackpot of around 16 million euros is formed for the draw on Tuesday (November 8th).

German lottery record win possible: syndicate from NRW cracked 110 million euros

In May, a syndicate from North Rhine-Westphalia cleared 110 million euros in the Eurojackpot and thus set the previous German maximum win.

The international Eurojackpot record win went to Denmark in July.

A woman won the highest possible amount of 120 million euros.

Euro jackpot of 120 million euros: only possible since this year

Winning amounts of this magnitude have only been possible with the Eurojackpot since the end of March 2022.

The 18 participating countries had changed the rules for the tenth anniversary of the European lottery and raised the upper limit from 90 to 120 million euros.

In addition to the Eurojackpot on Friday, a second drawing day was introduced on Tuesday.

Until the rule change in spring, the record winnings of 90 million euros in Germany were held by tipsters from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.
