Philosophically, the notion of identity is as contradictory as it is uncertain.

Contradictory, because, signifying at the same time the identical, the same, and the different, the specific, it is inevitable that any search for identity carries within it a tension mixing the desire for the same (identification) and the desire to be. self (individualization).

How to harmonize with a whole while persevering in one's being is the question of political and personal identity.

Uncertain, because it is a notion that embraces a thousand forms and that none exhausts.

I wanted to show that most of the notions with which it is generally assimilated (soul, culture, rootedness, intimacy, authenticity, history, etc.) inevitably lead to aporias.
