The new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak promised Tuesday, November 8 that the United Kingdom would remain "
a foundation of NATO for generations
" and announced new aid for the Ukrainian army, before receiving the boss of the Alliance Atlantic.
Jens Stoltenberg will be the first international leader received in Downing Street by the Conservative head of government on Wednesday since taking office at the end of October.
According to the Prime Minister's office, they will discuss support for Ukraine against Russia and the modernization of NATO.

I am determined that the UK will remain a foundation of NATO for generations to come
,” Rishi Sunak said in a statement.
“
But in the face of future challenges, we must evolve as an Alliance to rise to, and stay ahead of, the threat from our adversaries.
We must also continue to support the Ukrainian people in their resistance to the brutality of (Vladimir) Putin
”.
The UK has been one of kyiv's strongest supporters in the face of the Russian invasion and Rishi Sunak has already pledged to continue on this path.
He announced Tuesday evening the sending to the Ukrainian army of 12,000 additional kits to face the great cold and 150 heated tents in preparation for winter.
