It was in one of the largest rooms of the Paris Criminal Court, where journalists had come in large numbers, that the trial of Laurent Bigorgne, 48, former director of the Institut Montaigne, was held on Thursday.
This relative of Emmanuel Macron was tried for having administered MDMA (ecstasy) to one of his collaborators, Sophie Conrad, without his knowledge, during a party at his home on February 22, 2022. The victim had left dinner and filed a complaint.
