Those of us who do not use a sofa cover are surely familiar with every stubborn stain that appears on it.
When it comes to a situation where it is no longer possible to turn the pillows without revealing another stain - the problem must be addressed.
In the last few weeks, a trick for cleaning the sofa has been running on the net, which has been gathering favorable reviews (but also a little bit of skepticism) and we had to tell you about it.
One who tried the trick and shared the results is mother of two, Alicia Jo Vaughan, who was very impressed with it.
The simple trick involves only 3 items you already have at home - a pot lid, a dishwasher tablet and a microfiber cloth.
All you have to do is dissolve a dishwasher tablet in a container with a little warm water and soak a microfiber cloth in the resulting liquid.
Then wrap the pot lid in a cloth and use it to scrub your stained sofa - or any other piece of furniture that may need cleaning.
A hair band can be tied around the pot lid handle to keep the cloth in place.

The 28-year-old mother claims the trick is a "life saver" when it comes to dealing with stains created by her young children from "water, milk and juice spills," she said.
Millions of TikTok users were surprised by the result shown in the video. "I have a toddler at home and I swear it works !
The couch may not be as new as the original but it is definitely cleaner," wrote one and another agreed: "I tried it on my couch.
It changes the rules of the game.
I swear the couch is clean.
The spots are completely gone."
