According to what emerged from the investigations, the killers of the Birra-Iacomino clan wanted to avenge the murder of a person believed to be close to their family unit, which took place at the hands of Farace in 1997 in Herculaneum, as part of a dispute for futile reasons.
For the accusation, the Birra clan, through the two murders, would have intended to settle accounts with the opposing Ascione-Papal clan and sow a climate of silence and fear among the local population.
