Bigger, wider and much more expensive: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has excelled in recent years in grandiose projects such as the "The Line" real estate project and initiatives to establish Western resorts and artificial islands in the Red Sea. But it seems that this time the entrepreneurs have outdone themselves.

A company is currently planning to launch the largest yacht in the world (or more precisely, the cruise ship) - and in the shape of a sea turtle.

There will be those who say that the designer of the ship drew inspiration from the series of fantasy books "The Disc World", in which it is told about a world resting on the back of a huge sea turtle sailing in space.

According to Arab reports, the "Lazraini" company plans to launch in Saudi Arabia the largest yacht in the world that will be named "Pangasius".

This is an endangered species of fish.

The estimated cost invested in the giant project is no less than five billion dollars.

The Arab media state that the yacht is expected to have 60,000 rooms on board and will actually be a floating city for everything.

A city that will include suites, clubs and even malls.

In the video published by the company, you can see that some of the ship's passengers will move from one end to the other in a cinematic way.

And now for the unprecedented dimensions of the "yacht": the length of "Pangasius" will reach 1,800 feet (about 550 meters) and its width will reach 2,000 feet (about 610 meters).

This should make room for wide interior spaces.

The entrance to the huge vessel in the ports will be possible from a press at the stern of the ship.

It is also expected to be powered by nine fully electric motors.

Therefore, the ship will be able to sail at a speed of only five knots.

A relatively slow speed, but one that will allow the captain of the vessel to navigate safely.

Another particularly ambitious project.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has allocated many resources to strengthen the local tourism industry.

The kingdom's long-term planning takes into account that in the future the world will rely less on polluting fuels such as oil - the kingdom's main source of income.

Hence the Saudi royal family aims to develop and strengthen the tourism industry through its huge profits from the global oil market.
