The United Nations Population Division has estimated that the world's population will reach 8 billion people tomorrow (Tuesday), November 15.
According to the UN's World Population Prospects 2022 report, by 2030, there will be 8.5 billion people in the world, 9.7 by 2050 and 10.4 billion people by 2080. The report also estimated that India will overtake China as the world's most populous country by 2023. The estimate for 2022 is three times the size of the population in 1950.
According to the UN, the population will continue to grow after November 15, but at a slower rate due to regional inequality.
