The second suspect is Matthew Maher, a 22-year-old man from New York City, who is also suspected of weapons offenses.

The New York police said that Brown made a series of disturbing statements about an attack on a synagogue in the city, his threats did not specifically list a particular synagogue.



The New York police issued a notice to the public two days ago warning about Brown.

According to which, apart from his statements threatening to damage synagogues in the city, he claimed that he intended to go to New York to purchase a gun.

Therefore, according to the warning, he is considered armed and dangerous.

According to him, "this morning's arrests at Penn Station and the seizure of the weapons are proof of their vigilance and cooperation that keeps the residents of New York safe."



Sources familiar with the background to the case told the media that threats against the Jewish community recently appeared on social media, including a threat to shoot at a synagogue.
