The members of the Directorate of Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus seized violating commercial shops and distributors of diesel fuel for trading in it, tampering with the car’s meter and cheating on distributing it. They were fined 60 million pounds.
The director of the directorate, Tammam al-Oqda, stated that a domestic diesel distributor was seized in the Mezzeh area, violating the trade in diesel subsidized with an amount of 3,600 liters, and he was fined 27 million Syrian pounds.
In the Al-Midan area, three distributors were seized, one of them violating the presence of a counter with the intent of fraud. The aforementioned cars were impounded and the seizures were referred to the competent judiciary, the second violating a violation of the counter with the intention of cheating an amount of 2000 liters, and he was fined 15 million pounds, and the third distributor violating a lack of sufficient quantity of an amount of 2500 liters. He was fined 18,750,000 pounds.
According to the contract, commercial stores were seized with violations of non-advertising, failure to show retail invoices for food and non-food items, and various sample seizures that were withdrawn from the markets, to demonstrate their conformity with the specifications in Khaled Ibn Al-Walid Street, Bab Srija, Al-Qusour, Al-Thawra Street, Al-Zablatani, Al-Mazzeh Jabal, Bab Musalla, Al-Manakhlia and Al-Buzuriyyah.
