A step back in the coalition talks
: The religious Zionist party announced last night (Tuesday) that the Likud withdrew from the conclusions and the negotiations "returned to the starting point".

The Likud stated in response to religious Zionism: "Contrary to the statement of religious Zionism, the Likud did not withdraw any agreement. It was agreed with Bezalel Smotrich that he would be the first minister of finance in the rotation and receive the Ministry of Settlement and the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption. This is a fair agreement by all accounts, and the Likud stands behind it. However The Likud did not agree to comply with new demands made by Smotrich after the agreement was reached to remove a long list of departments from the other government ministries and transfer them to the Ministry of Finance as well."
An official in religious Zionism told Israel Hayom: "A rotation was agreed between Smotrich in finance and Deri in interior and transportation, and in Likud the interior and transportation portfolios returned. It is not only about portfolios but also issues related to the transfer of the Civil Administration and settlement regulation."
