A rocket was fired this evening (Saturday) from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza Strip, and fell in an open area.
Following the launch, a red color warning was activated but no Iron Dome interceptors were launched.
There were no casualties in the incident.
"Continuing to the report of the activation of an alert in an open area, one launch was detected from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.
No interceptors were launched. Full routine in the rear," the IDF spokesperson said in a statement.
The last time a red alert was activated in the area was about a month ago. So, two alerts were heard in the settlements of Kissuf, Nirim and Ein HaSlosha. This was the first time that shots were fired at the settlements in the south since the end of the "Dawn" operation last July.
