A worker died at the shipyards of Palermo.
The accident occurred this afternoon in the Fincantieri plant.
According to an initial reconstruction, 61-year-old Angelo Salamone, a worker in an associated company, was working on the construction site when he was hit by a base that overturned.
The worker suffered a crush injury to the chest.
He was rescued by the shipyard doctors.
The 118 doctors intervened and transported him to the Villa Sofia hospital in Palermo in red code.
In the hospital, in the evening, he died.
The police officers intervened when they were called by the doctors in the emergency room, while on-site inspections were conducted by the technicians of the Spresal of the Asp of Palermo.
